Tips:

  • Recommended application: 35ml/m² per coat.
  • Wet coating can be corrected up to 15 min.
  • Anti-Slip Decking Oil is not suitable for a single product application. A base coat with a pigmented oil, such as Osmo Bangkirai-Oil, Larch-Oil or Douglas Fir Oil or Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is recommended.
  • Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is clear and therefore it offers only limited protection against UV radiation (greying). With a combination of a colored base coat and a top coat with Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil, wood decking is fully protected.
  • For renovation works, clean old microporous finishes thoroughly. Degrey and clean already greyed or weathered wood at the same time with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel.
  • If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat.
  • To avoid greying and declining non-slip effect on high traffic areas, these areas should be re-coated at the right time.
  • Resinous wood, such as Larch or Douglas Fir, needs to weather off for at least 6 weeks. Pressure impregnated wood or woods with Wood species with a high content of natural wood extractives like Massaranduba, Bangkirai or Garapa need to weather off for at least 3 months.
  • Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).
