Home Care Interior Finishes Osmo Oil Stain

Osmo Oil Stain

Osmo Oil Stain is ideal as a transparent or intense colored base coat for all wooden floors as stairs and furniture surfaces.
Color and protect without visible transitions, applying a single coat of the Oil Stain will create a transparent look showing the wood's natural grain, whilst an optional second coat can give a more intensive color tone. A final coat of Osmo Polyx®-Oil is a must to protect pigmented finishes from wearing the color. Oil Stain Hardener is an optional second component which can be used to harden the finish which reduces the drying and curing time to just 4 hours!

Tips:

  • Hardener for Oil Stain is an option. It is drying accelerator and reduces curing time from 12 to 4 Hrs.
  • For transparent & intense colors, a top coat with Clear Polyx Oil is necessary.
  • For floors with a white base coat, a top coat with Polyx Oil White (3040) is recommended.
  • Intensive white 3501 is not recommended for flooring because it is more sensitive to natural yellowing.
  • Wet coating can be corrected up to 30min.
  • Oil Stain can also be applied to smaller surfaces like furniture with a lint-free cloth.
