Osmo One Coat Only HS PLUS

Transparent, satin wood finish based on natural oils for wood in outdoor areas. Microporous surface allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinkage. Water-repellent, weatherproof and UV-stable. Will not crack, peel, flake or blister. No sanding necessary, just simply re-coat.
Osmo One Coat Only HSPlus has a low content of solvents, works without any biocides or preservatives, has a high content of solids, so it offers high coverage. Even with a very thin coat, an optimal surface protection is achieved. It is ideal for the protection of all wood in outdoor areas and also well-suited for renewing old microporous finishes.

Tips:

  • Recommended application: 35ml/m² per coat.
  • Wet coating can be corrected up to 15min.
  • If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat.
  • Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed.
  • Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).
  • Light transparent color tones offer only limited UV-protection (greying and fading through sunlight); therefore they are not recommended for surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.
  • If surfaces in outdoor areas require additional protection, apply one final top coat of Osmo UV-Protection Oil (410 or 420) after thoroughly drying. This protects against dirt and stains and extends the life of the coating. For One Coat Only HS Plus Spruce White 9211, please use Natural Oil Woodstain White 900.
  • For new oily or exotic wood species, approx. three months exposure to the outside elements after installation and before application is recommended.
  • Many wood species contain water-soluble colored extractives which may leach out naturally when weathered.
